Gustav Myrthenbaum the Dilettante (Davy White) Falco the Apothecary (Michael Morgan) Hargrin the Troll Slayer (Kevin Bronakoski) Bran the Amber Wizard (David Crapper) Rutger Horstmann the Zealot (Chris Taylor) We’d make camp for the night. We were eating and talking as we usually do, when we heard some noises coming from the woods. It was this old human woman on a cart with bells. I don’t know why she’d have bells on her cart driving through the night. Makes no sense. Anyway she wanted to share our campfire but she was very insistent on having some of our food. Well we gave her some. She said her name was Wyrmhilda. Very strange name. She made some very strange comments and then she decided to take off. We figured she would have spent the night with us but she was a loony old bat. So the next day we headed across the river to the next signal tower. It was on the opposite bank. Gustav and Falco, they….had a very rough time getting across. Falco and Gustav both had problems meaning that Gustav lost his backpack. Or Falco lost his backpack.. I can’t remember. One of them lost his backpack. And Bran chased it down the river, eventually catching it. So apparently I’m a little more buoyant than my brothers and I made it across quite easily. I’ve gotten the hang of this water thing. It’s not quite as scary as I always felt it was. I guess the more time I spend in it, the better i’m getting. Anyway we got to the signal tower. It was pretty much smashed up and it stunk all to hell. And there was a dead sheep. it looked like the troll had been through here but there was no tracks leading the way. And when we decided that we weren’t exactly sure where we were going a boat stopped by. It was dropping off building supples. We somewhat, I would say, tricked them into sharing their food and spending the night with us. So anyway we travelled with the boat to Kemperbad, since we had no idea where the troll was heading. When we got to Kemperbad we found that the troll had attacked the dock and then headed south just the day before. We’d just missed him. Gustav offered 5 gold for a boat to take us to the next town right away. That next town was Wittgendorf. So we travelled down and as we were tying up to the Wittgendorf dock a halfling female ran up and she was asking for us to help. And right then is when a troll jumped up out of the water and climbed up onto the dock. by Kevin Bronakowski (aka Hargrin)
